UNOFFICIAL RTF Lance Side Image For Interlude 3

Hello and thank you for looking at the ‘Lance Side Image For Interlude 3 Mod’! This mod couldn’t have been made without the incredible work of Studio Blue Blossom and Jango (@jangomango.bsky.social‬), the artist for the Gooper side sprite!

First and foremost this is an unofficial mod. If this causes problems with your RTF saves/game DO NOT bother any of the RTF team about it. They had no part in the creation of this mod so they will not be able to help.

MAKE SURE WHEN YOU START THIS MOD YOU MAKE A NEW SAVE!! This mod may potentially brick your saves since the side images won’t be part of any official release. If you try to load a save of this mod, without the files included, renpy will probably throw an error. SO MAKE A NEW SAVE PLEASE!!

This mod will only work with RTF 0.17.91's version of Interlude 3. If you’re playing on a later version it probably won’t work.  I may update this with later versions. I may not. Please don't ask me to update it, and don't ask the RTF Team to implement it. This was just a fun small project I made, and is not reflective of the team's vision for RTF.

This mod is also untested for mobile. I have no idea if it’ll work or if it’ll look good. I will not be making an android version of the mod. If it does work awesome! If it doesn’t please don’t ask me to fix it.

It should work on Mac and Linux, I’m a windows fella so that’s all I can test it on.  If it doesn't work I can try my best, but I make no promises.

This mod is also for Interlude 3 only and I will not be modding the rest of RTF. If you want an estimate on how much time it took, it was around 6-8 hours for just modifying the interlude 3 script to add the side image. As much as I love RTF I do not have the time, nore the money to hire Jango to sprite a full Cyrus and Pre-Resoom Gooper. 

If you want to do it feel free to go through my side of the code! I labeled the major changes in assetdefine.rpy as 'Interlude 3 Cooper Mod Start'. Beware it is a lil janky.  Though if you do, you will have to ask Jango permission to use his incredible Lance sprite.

Before you mod RTF make sure to downlaod and support the official game! And throw a few bones to their Patreon.  The RTF Team has done some incredible work so please support them!

(BTW Lance won't show up until the screen shot on this page, so give him a lil bit.)

Now for what you probably want. How do you install this dang mod:

1: Open up the RTF folder that has the .exe in it.

2: Open the game folder

3: Copy and paste the assetdefine.rpy and interlude3.rpy file into this folder

                   3.1: It will ask you if you want to replace the files, say yes.

4: Open the images folder

5: Open the sprites folder

6: Open the cooper folder

7: Copy and paste the Gooper folder

8: Go back to the folder with the .exe and run it

9: Pray to whatever god will listen that it works

10: Enjoy the Gooper :3 (optional)
